A scientific project focused on seismic safety in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, utilizing earthquake sensors.

I participated in a scientific research project that implemented earthquake sensors based on GlobalQuake and RaspberryShake. My responsibilities included maintaining these sensors on Linux Raspberry Pi and leveraging technologies such as Raspberry Pi, Linux ARM, and Python with Miniconda for SLA/STA calculation. The project also utilized InfluxDB to monitor and manage data from all stations in real-time. Additionally, I configured GitHub CI to deploy Golang applications to servers that were provisioned and managed with Ansible.

skhalyk.kz - A popular insurance service in Kazakhstan.

The project utilized microservices built with PHP (Laravel), Nuxt, and Webview, deployed on K8S using manifests. The primary objective was to assist in designing infrastructure for the DevOps team of the bank, based on their OnPremise RancherOS. The technology stack included RabbitMQ, Redis, Nginx as Load Balancer and Proxy, Nginx ingress in K8S based on RancherOS, and Dockerfiles. Additional responsibilities involved tuning PHP opcache for high load scenarios and conducting load testing.

kino.kz - One of the oldest cinema listings services in Kazakhstan, Kino.kz offers tickets for movie screenings, concerts, theater performances, music festivals, sporting events, and travel tours in 27 cities across the country. The platform provides cinema tickets in 41 cities, making it one of the most prominent ticketing services in Kazakhstan.

The technology stack for the project consists of S3, PostgreSQL, K8S, Prometheus, Golang, Next.js, React, microservices based on HTTP/gRPC with Istio, Redis, Kafka, GitLab CI/CD, Harbor, and ArgoCD.

OSI.kz is a Kazakhstan digital platform for self-management of housing and communal services.

BAZIS-A - One of the largest construction companies in Kazakhstan, this is a procurement and tenders portal for their services.

The client chose a minimal architecture based on OnPremise virtual machines and a monolithic setup split between Nuxt and Laravel for the backend/admin panel. The tasks included deploying virtual machines on Ubuntu 22.04, configuring PostgreSQL with backups on a separate disk, setting up Redis, WebSockets, and configuring notifications via Nginx for Laravel. The project also involved setting up GitLab CI/CD pipelines using Deployer and PM2 to reduce overhead from Docker Engine on the host system. Additional responsibilities involved installing Kaspersky antivirus for OS security, setting up a proxy server for traffic filtering, and ensuring communication with the Ops team.
